Rich, the owner, has been fixing anything with wheels since he was a young child. It started with his bike, then his friends bikes, then lawn mowers, dirt bikes, 3 wheelers, quad's, Japanese motorcycles, Harley Davidsons, street vehicles and race cars, .....even Army helicopters.

He became a machinist/CNC programmer during high school, then a RADAR/electronics technician and operator in the US Air Force afterward. When the US Army offered him the opportunity to go to flight school, he changed branches and flew scout, attack and utility helicopters. He progressed in aviation and became an Instructor Pilot and then naturally, a Maintenance Test Pilot and Maintenance Evaluator with well over 4000 flying hours. But aircraft aren't really Rich's preferred way to fly, he'd rather be flying down the dragstrip on 4 wheels at over 200 mph! 

In 2004, after years and years of horror stories of women (and men) being taken advantage of at mechanic shops, he initially and informally laid the groundwork for Diamond Automotive Centers to become a reality. He encouraged his son, Jay, to enter the auto repair profession and attain his ASE certifications. After 27+ years in the military, Rich has finally retired and started Diamond Automotive Centers and Jay is the shop's lead technician.
